Update

On Monday, Mike and Ann will travel to Mosbach to attend leaders meetings for OM ships. We continue to pray for His clear leading for the ministry in the future.

On board work continues towards the Passenger Ship Safety Certificate. Two important areas are the installation of some needed fire dampers in some of the Air conditioning ducting and the completion of the generator project. We are waiting for some parts and materials to arrive for both of these areas.

Next week recruits will be arriving in Mosbach. 43 will be joining the Logos Hope. Pray for good preparation for the time that they will have with us on the Logos Hope. We still need to see more people join the Logos Hope. Pray that many will join the Short Term Exposure programme in March.

The Logos Hope - Let the Light shine

Logos Hope Book Fair

Our first Sunday Service in 2009 on board started with a vision of God from Isaiah 6:1 - 8. This transforming vision of Holiness and authority brings repentance and grace that enables us to respond to His call: " Whom should I send as a messenger to my people?"

Gareth Bolton was our guest speaker this morning. He is ministering with us together with his wife Malou. Check their web site at:

Welcome to another year

It is with grateful hearts we look back over 2008. The Logos Hope is a place of much light. We see the hand of God on a community of people who represent nations and churches around the world.

We celebrated the New Year on Deck 9 (very top) of the Logos Hope. We had a great veiw of the fireworks being let off around the city. It was a special experience for all of us on board.

Earlier in the evening we worshipped God and listened as several shared about His work in their lives during the last year.

At the beginning of this year we have corporate times of silence as we focus on our vision of God for this coming year.

We will be meditating in scriptures:

Psalm 103

Psalm 46

Haggai 1 & 2

Christmas

We rejoice as we remember the miraculous birth of Jesus. His life is now in us. This is God’s gift. It is the gift of salvation. The miracle of His presence with us transforms our understanding of reality. It is a time to be refreshed and to remember with joy this gift of Christ with us.

Nothing is impossible for God! We can trust him for the miraculous. You are living the miracle of His presence. He is able to do far more than we imagine. Thank Him for the gift of forgiveness. Thank Him for the gift of righteousness. Thank Him for the gift of His love. Thank Him for the gift of His PEACE. Thank Him for the gift of His Son with us today.

Pray for the Oppressed

Evil holds millions captive to slavery, poverty, oppression, disease and addiction. Pray for God's intervention. Pray for those who take initiative to bring transformation and restore dignity to the broken peoples of our world. Check these websites for information on the Dalits of India:

Financial Support

How are we financed on Logos Hope

Those on board the Logos Hope are responsible for raising personal financial support. This support provides for all our personal needs while on board including food and accomodation, toiletries, Esther's schooling, medical needs and even pocket money. It also helps towards the overall running costs of the ship such as fuel, port fees etc.

We also need to raise some extra support to help Rebecca complete her education. Write to her if you would like more details. heygirl1@gmail.com

If you would like to be partners with us and help support us financially, please contact us by email for more details:

Living by Faith

We look back over this last year with gratitude for the faithfulness of God and His unfailing love demonstrated in so many ways. We have expeienced His grace. He has given what we do not deserve. So much has been done on board to prepare the ship. We see His guiding hand in the details of our daily lives.

He is faithful towards us. He sees the frustrations and failures. We can tust His unfailing love. In Zehariah 3 we have a clear picture of what it means to stand in the presence of God in need of His grace.

1. We stand in His presence believing and confessing our need of Him
2. We stand in His presence knowing that the Lord rejects the accusations
3. We stand in His presence to receive His righteousness as a gift of grace
4. We stand in His presence with Hope in the work of the Messiah.
