From the Logos Hope Web site:

More than 100 women of Kiel made history when they came to Logos Hope for breakfast and the first women’s conference on board the vessel. "They have blessed us and we wanted to encourage them and show our appreciation. One thing we have is passion and vision and we wanted to share that with them," said Ann Hey (Grenada).
One local lady shared that 20 years ago she felt she and her husband were being called to serve God fulltime. After encountering problems in their marriage and with their children, the dream just about died. Her visit to Logos Hope refreshed and renewed this desire.
The goal of local resident Ruth Mueller is that women of Kiel will continue to meet under the banner "Women With A Vision". This will ensure the vision will continue to be fueled long after Logos Hope leaves Kiel.

Mike had a good time in the UK and was especially encouraged to visit Alerton Baptist Church in North West London. Today the work is progressing on board. Several are being trained to be a part of the advanced preparation teams for the ships. In the next weeks we will give a special emphasis on training people for the minsitry that is ahead of us.

Today, Ann is having an opportunity to meet with some people in Kiel and to share good news with them. Pray for much fruit.

We need some more welders. Can you make that a special mention in prayer and visit our Logos Hope Web site for more information.

Tonight, we meet in ship family groups. The building of the small group network on board is a priority as we take steps to build a strong community. For many on board, these groups provide an opportunity to experience family away from home.

On Wedneday 13th February Mike travels to the United Kingdom for meetings. He will have several opportunities to give a progress report on the work on board.

We have to replace one of the generators. Our plan is to put the ship into a dry dock. This will probably be in Sweden at the end of April.

Then we hope to move on to Copenhagen for the final aspects of the installation of the generator.

While here in Kiel we have many opportunities for the Logos Hope people to serve with different churches in the city. Several have responded to the good news and we see God at work in many lives.

Insight from the word

In our readings this week we have followed the story of the Israelites departure from Egypt. Two days ago I read about the deliverance that they experienced when God opened the red sea.

"13 Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." " Exodus 14:13 - 14

We look to God for breakthroughs. He has called us to bring the good news to the nations. He will make a way where there seems to be no way. We are learning to be still and to work as he leads us in faith.

Prayer Diary

Pray for the Project workers visiting daily. Work is progressing in many areas. Praise God for the way that so many are giving thier time for this project. Pray for the new people who will be arriving next week. Pray that they will settle into the community very quickly. Continue to ask God for light to shine into many lives today.
